5 Months

Eat:

At this age your child is still consuming strictly breastmilk or formula unless directed by your doctor. They should be getting at least 7-10 breastfeeding sessions per day or 24-32 ounces formula or combination.

Play:

Your child is becoming more and more interactive and playing with toys. You might notice them grabbing and bringing things to their mouth. Make sure to start baby- proofing the house if you haven't already. Some children may be sitting or starting to roll and get into crawling position.

Sleep:

You might notice your little one is still taking shorter naps and that is normal but continue to work towards the six month schedule of 3 naps a day and encouraging routine and consistency. They are probably still waking to nurse 1-3 times at night; but if you notice more than that, they are starting to develop a sleep crutch. This is a good age to start introducing a snuggly or safe blanket for them to connect with and bring them comfort.
